As part of a strategic engagement with Wilmot Mountain to increase awareness of the ski resort’s brand, I conducted an SEO analysis of their existing website. It soon became evident that a new, more engaging site would be more productive. The client needed a site design that more clearly illustrated the Wilmot Mountain personality and that embraced their “family-style environment”. To elevate the user experience we also added online videos, interactive trail maps, and other resort functions that were easily accessible and visually enticing. However, the true strength of the site is in its “back door” or content management performance functions. These functions were designed so the marketing team could easily update many areas of the site to provide up-to-date, relevant information for the user and certain internal components without long hours and intricate coding issues.
